Led by HYDROPHIL GmbH and implemented together with our partner Dornier International Consulting, this project contributes to improving the resilience and functionality of critical water infrastructure in Ukraine. It will significantly enhance water supply and wastewater treatment services, thereby improving living conditions and environmental protection in the region. The expected outcomes include:
- Improved effluent quality discharged into the Psel River (Dnipro basin, Black Sea catchment), aligned with local and EU standards.
- Enhanced energy efficiency and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
- Better air and water quality for the residents of Sumy.
As lead partner, HYDROPHIL brings over two decades of international experience in the water sector and in conducting feasibility studies. These studies form the basis for priority investments in sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure. Our multidisciplinary expert teams evaluate projects technically, economically, and with regard to environmental and social impacts. This ensures that wastewater treatment projects effectively improve effluent quality, protect public health, and safeguard water resources.
